State 6A boys basketball tournament gets underway Feb. 22

The state 6A boys basketball tournament starts Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the home of the higher seed.

Mountain Vista is the top seed and faces Bear Creek. Ralston Valley, the No. 10 seed, hosts 17th-rated Cherry Creek.

Valor Christian takes the No. 8 seed and hosts Monarch. Columbine, the No. 24 seed, visits ninth-rated Vista Ridge. Arapahoe, the 29th seed, plays at No. 4 Denver East. ThunderRidge takes the No. 13 seed and hosts 20th-rated Eaglecrest. Chaparral takes the 30th seed into a match at third-rated Fossil ridge. Legacy, the No. 11 team in the field, hosts 22nd-rated Douglas County. Eighteenth-rated Arvada West goes to 15th seed Fountain-Fort Carson, and Rock Canyon, the No. 2 seed, hosts No. 31 Rangeview.
