Littleton's Bemis Library is venue for handbell concert

Bemis Library, 6014 S. Datura St. in Littleton, will host the Smithtonian Handbell Ensemble at 1 p.m. and again at 3 p.m. on Dec. 11. Free, but pre-registration is required. 303- 795-3961. Colorado Ballet

Colorado Ballet dancers are wearing 171 new costumes as they perform in this year’s “Nutcracker” performances. Cost? $1.5 million! (It’s been 33 years for the old ones!) The big order saved jobs for a number of seamstresses. Designer was Holly Hynes. Nutcracker performances: through Dec. 31, but these tend to sell out, so pick a date and nail down tickets soon, if there’s a little dancer who wants to go. Tickets range from $40 to $175. “Who’s Holiday” plays at Vintage Theatre, 1468 Dayton St., Aurora through Dec. 31. ‘Tis a raunchy riff on Dr. Seuss, they say. Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. $25.
