Letter to the editor: Crow right man for job

Indivisible Southglenn is proud to endorse Rep. Jason Crow for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Since his election in 2018, Jason Crow has repeatedly demonstrated his high integrity and adherence to values that are cherished by the people of Colorado’s 6th Congressional District. These include: respect for democratic processes, support for affordable and universal healthcare, increased access to education, and adherence to civil rights,” said Rebecca Barrilleaux, leader of Indivisible Southglenn. “As a strong believer in building consensus and bipartisanship, Jason has proven to be an incredibly effective member of Congress.”

Jason has been steadfast in advocating for Colorado’s most vulnerable populations. He has instituted weekly visits to the Aurora Contract Detention Facility to ensure detainees’ rights are respected. Jason has co-sponsored HR 9 to re-engage in the Paris Climate Accord and has sponsored the SAVE Energy Act and 100% Clean Economy Act. To protect our democratic processes, Jason Crow is a sponsor of the End Dark Money Act and the Foreign Interference Reporting in Elections Act. To address the need for improved access to healthcare, Crow supports the Medicare-X Choice Act. Crow is a sponsor of the George Floyd Law Enforcement Trust and Integrity Act. These are only a few of the actions Jason has taken that give us great confidence in him.

Indivisible Southglenn is a grassroots group in Centennial that is committed to upholding our processes and providing education and resources to encourage engagement in voting and legislative advocacy.
